Workouts!

To be better at boxing, Muhammad Ali and other boxers have to trin their muscles to become stronger and do their work much easier. So they must train. There are 2 types of training, Aerobic and Anaerobic.

Aerobic training involves the aerobic system that the cellular respiration needs oxygen to work. Although it works for only slow movements, it produces the most ATP energy and lasts the longest. This takes place in the mitochondria of the cell and pruduces 36-38 ATP per glucose.

Anaerobic training takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell. Unlike aerobic, anaerobic doesn't need oxygen to work so it takes place faster. Although this comes with a price, it only produces 2 ATP energy per glucose. So this is for sudden movements like punching that dominates boxing.

Although boxing is mostly anaerobic, most boxers train with aerobic training. Nobody knows why this happens.

Aerobic:

-shadow boxing
how?
face a mirror, and pretend yourself on the mirror as an enemy. See the weak spots and try to cover it and attack it. do the usual punches like jabs and crosses. Don't punch hardly and too fast. Try to slow down and keep calm.

why?
this helps you see from the enemy's point of view of you and you can improve your defense. This also trains your punches

-jogging
how?
jog either on a treadmill, park, etc for around 10-15 minutes

why?
this helps your cardio muscles to make your heart stronger. This also train your lungs to work faster so you wouldn't get tired easiy

-jumping ropes
how?
jump ropes calmly for 10 minutes

why?
like jogging, this helps your cardio muscles to make your heart stronger. This also train your lungs to work faster so you wouldn't get tired easiy

Anaerobic:

-Punch!

how?
at the first week, do heavy punches on your dummy, heavy bag, unfortunate personal trainer for 2 minutes at a time. On the next week, do 2 minutes and 15 seconds. The next week, 2 minutes 30 seconds and so on.

why?
this trains your anaerobic ability to work without oxygen. This makes you less tired before waiting for aerobic comes in.
